Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem

‘Carpe Diem’ explores boredom associated with school and its effect on kids. The kids in this story find themselves in classrooms, school halls, and corridors while their mental state wanders elsewhere. Growing up, we are constantly put under pressure of what will come next. At first, we are expected to worry about getting into college, followed by university, and finally, we are expected to know our profession by the time we leave education. Adolescence can be a challenging time for many, and thus these kids are constantly being pushed to think about the next step. Despite the ironic title, the kids never truly live in the moment.
