Bugz

Bugz is a collaborative project with Charlotte Williams. With this series, Charlotte wanted to explore the distorted, playing with the idea of genetic modification and evolution. The inspiration was taken from the artist ‘Is She Hungry’, who plays with the notion of distorting natural influences into drag Avant-garde makeup transformations. Charlotte has studied four different exotic insects and dissected their imagery into four makeup designs, exploring how symmetry, colours, and shapes can distort the human face in bold and striking ways.
