Housebound

‘Housebound’ is a series exploring the national lockdown. Lockdown was a very mentally straining time for many of us as we’d often have to find new ways of entertainment. One of these entertainment ways which I explore with this editorial is through the dressing. Our need of purchasing outfits increased drastically over this period; however, the lack of occasions for wearing these has also increased. Thus, naturally, we’ve resolved to wear these outfits to complete mundane tasks. The models within these images find themselves in ironic sets, being bored out of their minds while the viewers relate directly to them. At times elements of humour are displayed through props and styling, and the models tend to break the fourth wall in a silent call for help.
